Last October 11-13, 2013, our Provincial Minister, Br, Eugenio Juanilo ‘Eugene’ P. Lopez, OFMCap. together with Br. Joel E. de Jesus, OFMCap, attended the Annual Assembly of the Inter-Franciscan Ministers Conference of the Philippines. The theme of this year’s Assembly is: Building More Wells.

Fr. Eugene has been elected this year as Vice-President of IFMCP. Many other superiors from different Orders and Congregations of the Franciscan Family attended the affair.

Br. Joel de Jesus of the Capuchins together with Br. Dennis Tayo, OFM presented the Franciscan Health Care – Crossing Borders (FHC-CB) to the assembly. FHC-CB is a health care ministry consisting of representatives from the different Franciscan Orders and Congregations together with lay volunteers with Franciscan Spirit. They aim to provide holistic health care for the marginalized particularly the indigenous people of our country.

On October 13, 2013, Indigenous People Sunday, the FHC-CB was finally recognized as a mission partner of the IFMCP.
