Loaded with more than 2000 boxes of cup noodles, boxes of medicines, used and new clothes, toys and canned goods, the third truck of relief goods for the victims of Typhoon “Yolanda” (Haiyan) left “Bahay Capuchino,” (the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin Philippine Province Curia) on February 26, 2014 and headed towards Calbayog, Samar for the distribution. The Capuchin brothers and volunteers from Capuchin parishes of Sta. Teresita de Nino Jesus and the National Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes helped load the relief truck. The relief goods were then accompanied by Br. Ryan E. Labasa, OFMCap. and will be unloaded at the OFM-run College in Calbayog for its eventual distribution. At the moment the Capuchin Philippine Province is now conducting a study in the process of adopting a particular location for rehabilitation and restoration through the Provinces’ Social Action arm.
