After the ordination of Rev. Fr. Roque Aristotle “Toti” B. Padama,OFMCap and Rev. Fr. Rex I. Cutamora.OFMCap last May 2, 2014, the newly-ordained priests presided at their respective thanksgiving masses in their hometown parishes. Fr. Toti celebrated his thanksgiving mass last May 7, 2014 at San Vicente Ferrer Parish in his hometown in Dasol, Pangasinan. Capuchin Priests attended the thanksgiving mass with Rev. Fr. William Bustamante,OFMCap delivering the homily. The parish priest of San Vicente Ferrer in Dasol, Pangasinan Rev. Fr. Mario Estrella,O.C organized the thanksgiving mass with the Parish Pastoral Council and accommodated Fr. Toti’s guests from the Manila, Baguio and even guests from Titay,Zamboanga- Sibugay. The People of Dasol in Pangasinan were filled with gratitude to God for another son of Dasol became a priest. Most of Fr. Toti’s guests were his former students, classmates, co-teachers and friends.
Meanwhile, Fr. Rex Cutamora,OFMCap presided over his thanksgiving mass at his hometown Parish in San Jose Manggagawa Parish in GMA, Cavite on May 10, 2014. San Jose Manggagawa Parish in GMA, Cavite is also taken care of by the Capuchins in the Philippines. The thanksgiving mass of Fr. Rex was a timely celebration since the Church celebrates the Good Shepherd Sunday that day. Rev. Fr. Cesar Gutierrez,OFMCap gave the homily where he shared how he invited Fr. Rex to enter seminary during Fr. Cesar’s PN1 apostolate in San Jose Manggagawa Parish, GMA, Cavite. The thanksgiving mass of Fr. Rex was organized by the PPC of San Jose Manggagawa initiated by Rev. Fr. Agapito Feniz,OFMCap, Parish Priest. Relatives, friends and benefactors as well as the parishioners of St. Francis of Assisi in Pulo and San Jose Manggagawa graced the occasion.
