Two Brothers Make Perpetual Profession

After 90 days of retreat and solitude, Brs. Paulo Jesus Z. Nazareno,OFMCap  and Jasper G. Espanola,OFMCap made their Perpetual Profession to the Capuchin way of life before the presiding minister Rev. Fr. Eugenio P. Lopez,OFMCap., Provincial Minister of the Capuchins in the Philippines last June 7, 2014 at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes in Quezon City. Br. Serafin B. Pamaong, OFMCap. and Br. Edgar S. Martinez, OFMCap. stoop as main witnesses to the brothers profession. The Capuchin brothers, postulants, aspirants, other religious,  relatives and friends of the professandi attended the celebration. The celebration of the perpetual profession of the two brothers was also graced by the presence of our brother -bishop Joseph Nacua, D.D., bishop of the Diocese of Ilagan in Isabela Province. In his homily, Br. Eugenio shared about the significance of religious life in the Church.

Br. Paulo Jesus from Dagupan, Pangasinan is a graduate of AB Philosophy in University of Santo Tomas before entering the Capuchin Order, while Br. Jasper from General Santos City, was inspired by the Capuchin brothers living at Our Lady of Lourdes friary in Baluan, General Santos City. Both of these two newly perpetually professed young brothers are going for further studies in philosophy and theology to prepare them for their future priestly ministry. During the celebration Rev. Fr. Eugenio Lopez,OFMCap announced the assignments of the brothers. Br. Jasper will be going to St. Pio Fraternity in Davao City, as he prepares for his two year Philosophical studies, and Bro. Paulo Jesus will be assigned in St. Lawrence of Brindisi House of Studies in Tagaytay City as he starts his Theological Studies at the Divine Word Theological Studies also in Tagaytay City.
