Brs. Michael Angelo Flores, Ryan Labasa, Jason Raj, and Evare Laborte renewed their profession to the Capuchin Life in the morning of last October 25. The Rite was presided by Provincial Minister Br. Eugenio Lopez and was officially witnessed by Brs. Eligio Landingin and Roger Calaor. Held at the oratory of the Padre Pio Fraternity in Lipa City, it was an intimate and solemn event attended by other friars from communities as far as Mindanao. Brs. Michael Angelo and Ryan are currently assigned at the Sanctuario de San Francisco in Bugallon, Pangasinan where they are preparing for making perpetual profession. Meanwhile, Brs. Jason and Evare are currently assigned at the Capuchin Retreat Center in Lipa for their first year as postnovices.
After the individual sharing of the renewalists, the Provincial Minister reminded the brothers present that religious vocations are gifts from which the Lord expects good fruit. He stressed that although grace and mercy are constantly at work, manifested through perseverance in religion, the Gospel nonetheless challenges those whom God had especially called for Himself to strive to live effective and fruitful lives of charity and personal generosity–concrete expressions of our vow of poverty.
A joyful and fraternal breakfast followed.
