The Capuchin General Curia Formation Secretariat in cooperation with the Pacific-Asia Capuchin Conference conducted a Formators’ Course at the Capuchin Retreat Center, Lipa City, Batangas, Philippines on May 2-10, 2015. There were 28 participants to the course coming from the Provincial Delegation of Timor Leste, Provincial Delegation of Thailand, Custody of Malaysia, Custody of Korea, Custody of Papua New Guinea/Solomon Islands, Custody of New Zealand, Indonesian General Custody of Sibolga, Indonesian General Custody of Kepulauan Nias, Indonesian Province of Pontianak, Indonesian Province of Medan, and Philippine Province. The course was facilitated by Br. Jaime Rey Escapa,OFMCap., Br. Sahayaraj Sinnathambi Santiago,OFMCap. and Br. Cesar Acuin, OFMCap. Br. Victorius Dwiardy, OFMCap., General Councilor for the PACC and Br. Eugenio Juanilo Lopez, OFMCap., President of the PACC also graced the occasion. The course which lasted for more than a week was designed to provide new insights to the formators of the different PACC circumscriptions, to empower them, and to promote solidarity among them. The course was very fruitful with the brothers learning from each other as they work together and share each other’s insights. They look forward to another course hopefully longer and more intensive as everyone appreciated the great need to prepare good formators who will guide the future generation of the Order.
