March 12, 2016 – The Capuchin Brothers, namely Br. Eugenio Juanilo Lopez, OFMCap., Provincial Minister, and Br. Denver de Leon, OFMCap., Br. Joenifer Ygonia, OFMCap., Br. Yang Lu Feng, OFMCap., Br. Bryan Bermejo, OFMCap., Br. Joseph Umba, OFMCap., and Br. Jusfer John Albert, OFMCap. of Post Novices attended the Inter-Franciscan Ministers’ Conference of the Philippines (IFMCP) Lenten Hermitage Recollection at Our Lady of the Angels Seminary, Brgy. Bagbag, Novaliches, Quezon City. The said gathering aimed to highlight the “Franciscan Tradition on the Eucharist in the Jubilee Year of Mercy and its Challenges” which was given and facilitated by Fr. Cristino Pine, OFM.
The whole day experience was participated by the different branches, fraternities and lay faithful of the Franciscan Order here in the Philippines.
As part of Lenten Exercises, silence was reserved for an hour before lunch, and the Sacrament of Penance and the exposition of the Blessed of Sacrament were held from 1:30 to 3PM. The celebration ended with the Eucharistic Mass, presided by Fr. Francis Mateo of OFM Conventual. It was ended a joyful Lenten sacrifice as all Franciscans were called and challenged to be Eucharistic brothers and sisters most especially to the poor.
