Last November15, 2016, Brs. Roy Arasan and Jefferson Namo professed their first vows in front of the Provincial Minister Br. Eugenio Juanilo Lopez inside the small chapel of St. Felix of Cantalice Novitiate House in Baguio City. The occasion of first profession of the two brothers was witnessed by six friars from different fraternities, not including the Provincial Minister; Br. Jacob Chamalayil, a guest from India who gave the inspiring homily during the Mass, Brs. Edgar Martinez, Royce Quintillan, Alberto Poblete, and Allan Donasco who happened to have their ‘on-going formation’ meeting in the novitiate on that same day, the novitiate formators Brs. Ron Ojeda, Wilson Atienza and Noe Roxas, and the seven novices.
Before the final blessings, the letter of obedience was given to each professed. The two of them were assigned to Bahay Capuchino, the provincial curia in Quezon City for six months. It was truly a day of gratitude for the two newly professed brothers. They were thankful enough that they were given the chance to prepare and prove their selves more through the six-month extension in the novitiate. After the simple lunch at the refectory, the two brothers went with Br. Eugene to their new area of assignment.
