May 18, 2017 – At St. Felix of Cantalice Novitate House, Baguio City: The brother novices made their first profession to the Capuchin Religious Life this day into the hands of Br. Eugenio Juanilo P. Lopez, OFMCap., Provincial Minister of the Capuchin Philippine Province; Br Michael Raymond, OFMCap., Custos of the Malaysia Custody and Br. Jonathan Williams, OFMCap., Custos of Papua New Guinea. The newly professed brothers are the following:
- Luke Tamane, OFMCap.
- Tony Bingkuan, OFMCap.
- Pius Kajan Jalong Kallang, OFMCap.
- Aldrin Dela Peña, OFMCap.
- Ian Kenneth Pamintuan, OFMCap.
Bros. Tony Bingkuan, OFMCap. and Pius Kallang, OFMCap. are from Sabah, Malaysia and Br. Luke Tamane is from Papua New Guinea. Bros. Ian Pamintuan, OFMCap. and Aldrin Dela Peña, OFMCap. are from the Philippines. The brothers from different fraternities also stood as witnesses to this grace-filled day. They are Br. Wilson Atienza, OFMCap. (Guardian of the Novitiate), Br. Ron Artemio Ojeda, OFMCap. (Novice Master), Br. Noe Roxas, OFMCap. (Local Economo), Br. Mateo Goldaraz, OFMCap., Br. Edgar Martinez,OFMCap., Br. Leny Escalada, OFMCap., Br. Valentine Gompuk, OFMCap., Br. Allan Samson, OFMCap., Br. Jeffrey Torres, OFMCap., and Br. Anthony Almazan, OFMCap.and the newly accepted novices. The five brothers made their simple profession after the homily of Br. Eugenio Juanilo P. Lopez, OFMCap. who presided the celebration of the Eucharist in honor of St. Felix of Cantalice. After the Eucharistic celebration, a simple yet a very delicious lunch followed. Later, the five newly simple professed brothers left the Novitiate to their new abode at Padre Pio Fraternity, Capuchin Retreat Center, Lipa City in order to continue the next stage of their initial formation.
