July 19, 2017 – Br. Noe E. Roxas OFMCap held the thanksgiving Eucharistic Celebration for his perpetual profession last July 19, 2017 at the Our Lady of the Annunciation Parish, Bacon, Sorgsogon. He made his final and definitive commitment to the Capuchin life as a religious brother last May 14, 2016 and, after more than year, finally had this traditional thanksgiving celebration. It was a very special day as the Capuchin brothers from different fraternities, his family and friends, and the community of the parish gathered to give praise and thanks to God for the gift of the Capuchin vocation he has given to Br. Noe.
The concelebrated thanksgiving Mass commenced at ten in the morning. It was presided by the Provincial Minister, Br. Eugenio Juanilo P. Lopez, OFMCap. It was also graced with the presence of Capuchin brother-priests and the parish’s parochial vicar Fr. Rondel Sioson. Also ministering in the celebration were Br. Paul Vincent A. Perlado who served as deacon; and the Post-Novice and Postulant brothers who served as acolytes and choir respectively.
In his sharing, Br. Noe expressed his profound gratefulness to the Lord for this special day and the grace of his final commitment to the Capuchin life. He shared significant events in his vocation journey which was nourished in that parish and local community and how the Lord led him to discover his vocation. He relayed to them the meaning and significance of being a religious brother and gave an encouraging invitation to the young men of Bacon to follow in his footsteps as a Capuchin.
After the Mass, a simple but festive agape was held at the nearby Immaculate Heart of Mary School Bacon which is run by the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Hearts. The guests enjoyed both the hearty meal and the beautiful presentations given the members of the local Franciscan Youth Movement and students of the school. The day is truly significant as it reflects the message of Br. Noe’s Capuchin life – simple yet full of gratitude to God’s goodness.
